Nilmini Roelens LLM, DEJF, Principal Solicitor

Roelens Solicitors Wimbledon is managed by Nilmini Roelens. Nilmini was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 1991. She graduated from Leicester University in 1987 with her first degree in LLB Law with French. Being a fluent French speaker she obtained a Diplome d'Etudes Juridiques Francaises from Strasbourg University (France). She first developed her passion for the practice of Immigration Law as a Trainee Solicitor in London in 1990. She became an individual member of the Immigration Law Practitioners Association in 1991 and furthered her knowledge of Immigration Law during her Masters Degree in European Law at Kings College, London. She managed her own successful specialist Immigration Law firm Roelens Solicitors in London employing a team of immigration lawyers for some seven years during which time she secured Category 1 Quality Mark Standard with the Legal Services Commission for Immigration Law and was also a member of the highly regarded Law Society's Immigration Law Panel.

Following a brief career break as co-director of a family translations company and living in France Nilmini returned to the practice of Immigration Law specialising in Business Immigration. She then decided to take the step of relaunching her own firm The Wimbledon Effect once again in June 2008. She secured UK Border Agency approval for the firm's services in Sponsorship Licencing whilst the scheme was in operation and has conducted a number of seminars on the Points Based System. With effect from 01.01.11, Nilmini resumed her former practice name "Roelens Solicitors Wimbledon".

Nilmini speaks fluent French and Sinhala.

Sanjeev Bakshi LLB (Hons), Solicitor

Sanjeev was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales in 2009. He graduated from Middlesex University in 2005 with a degree in Law. Thereafter, he completed his Legal Practice Course from Inns of Court School of Law in 2006.

As well as being an adept Criminal Law practitioner Sanjeev has specialised in UK Immigration Law since commencing his training in 2007.

Sanjeev speaks fluent Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.
